SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- A Republican candidate for California governor is comparing President Barack Obama's gun control policies with those of dictators such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and North Korea's Kim Jong Il.

State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly sent a message via Twitter on Tuesday with an image that compared what he said were figures who have supported gun rights and those who have supported gun control.

In a statement later in the day from his campaign to The Associated Press, Donnelly said he would not apologize for "pointing out that our current president acts more like a dictator than a leader of a free people."

In 2012, Donnelly pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges after he was found with a loaded Colt .45 in his carry-on bag at a Southern California airport.

Here's a thought for the more Government Control AKA Gun Control supporters, don't think what has happened in the Ukraine can happen in the USA? What if there was an up raising in the US and Obozo didn't like it since it was to throw him and his goons out of office? We "armed citizens of the USofA would be the only thing standing between this happening and Obozo doing it. Just as Hitler, Stalin and Jong II has done. When the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto became armed and stood up against the German SS, it took them 6 weeks and heavy looses to crush them. And only after armor was used and the Russians didn't support them as promised. This is Obozo's, Hillary, Feinstein, Boxer and others that fall in line with them, secret agenda for us. To "protect us and save lives". Wrong, to in slave us.
