San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - A nail biter appears to be in store in Game 2 of the NBA Finals as the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs are even at 43-43 at halftime.

The Finals opener was headlined by a malfunctioning air conditioner that caused soaring temperatures at AT&T Center and relegated LeBron James a spectator in the deciding minutes.

James has been the leading scorer in the first two quarters Sunday with 13 points, while Chris Bosh has added 10 for the Heat.

Tony Parker has paced San Antonio with 12 points, while Tim Duncan is one rebound away from tying Magic Johnson for most postseason double-doubles in NBA history with 157.

A back-and-forth Game 1 swung San Antonio's way when James exited with cramps and the Spurs ended the game on 31-9 run with the four-time league MVP on the bench over the final six minutes.

The Spurs wound up winning their eighth consecutive home game by 15-plus points, marking the longest such streak in NBA postseason history.

Miami, though, has bounced back from a playoff loss 12 straight times, and has rallied from an early 11-point deficit in a building with a functioning air conditioner.

All 11 of Tim Duncan's points have come in the first quarter, including two off a vintage putback dunk, and buckets by Patty Mills and Manu Ginobili to open the second had the Spurs ahead by a 30-19 count.

The Heat stayed close with a 9-0 run, and James' layup off an offensive rebound gave Miami its first lead at 34-33 with a little over five minutes left in the half.

It remained tight the rest of the way, and Duncan missed a putback at the buzzer to keep it even at 43-43 at the break.
