Jack White has decided to cut down the amount of hours he spends in the recording studio for the sake of his children.

The former White Stripes star has two kids, Scarlett, eight, and Henry, six, with his ex-wife Karen Elson, and the rocker admits he has changed his work schedule so he can spend more time with the youngsters.

He tells Britain's BBC Radio 1, "I used to record 12, 14 hours a day when I work on records, I don't do that any more... I try to work less hours so I can be with them in the evening or the morning. I try to work around the kids, I guess - they kind of control me."
