MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (AP) — A 49-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison with no parole for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend at a Los Angeles County senior center where they were visiting the boyfriend's father.

A district attorney's statement says Richard Tauch of Corona received the sentence Thursday for the killings of 40-year-old Jenny Sor and 53-year-old Wen Wa Chao.

Prosecutors say in January, 2010, Tauch went to Sor's workplace at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, and hid in her car.

After she got off work, she drove to an assisted living center in Monterey Park where Chao's father lived.

Prosecutors say Tauch followed Sor inside, accosted her and Chao and shot them both several times.

He was convicted in November 2013 of two counts of first-degree murder.
