LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are investigating a second shooting involving Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies this weekend.

A deputy shot and wounded a suspected drug dealer in a South Los Angeles alleyway early Sunday after the man pointed a gun at the officer.

A department statement says the deputy went to the area to check out reports of a possibly armed man in the alleyway when he encountered the gunman.

The suspect was hit in the midsection in the shooting and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

On Saturday, deputies shot and killed a gunman who wounded a transit police deputy during an earlier confrontation in the Walnut Park area.

So easy for the police to claim the man they shot was a drug dealer. Makes the shooting seem more "justifiable" for some reason and maybe it was, I wasn't there. When is the government going to end the longest war on record. The war on drugs that has taken so many lives and has been so wasteful with tax payers dollars? The crime is caused by the underground criminal organizations that prohibition creates. Prohibition is enacted by our government.
