PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police arrested a 24-year-old woman accused of killing her mother in Los Angeles.
Sgt. Gregg Hastings says troopers arrested Laura Purviance early Friday at an Interstate 5 rest near Medford, and Los Angeles police detectives are traveling to southern Oregon to continue the investigation.
Los Angeles police say the woman's mother, 61-year-old Caroline Sue Purviance, was fatally shot Wednesday night.
