SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The California Supreme Court granted a law license to a man living in the United States illegally on Thursday.
The court ruled there is no reason to block Sergio Garcia's bid for a California law license after California Governor Jerry Brown signed a state law authorizing undocumented immigrants to receive professional licenses.
KNTV-NBC Bay Area interviewed Garcia about what he thinks this means for the country. "I think it's the right decision for California, and the country as a whole."
Garcia graduated from law school and passed the state bar exam. He has been illegally living in the country for 20 years.
