LOS ANGELES (AP) — Officials at a private girls high school in Los Angeles say they've asked police to investigate after a former student accused an ex-teacher of engaging in inappropriate conduct.

A statement from Marlborough School characterizes the incident as an "inappropriate physical relationship" that allegedly took place a decade ago.

The Los Angeles Times reports that it is the second such report the school has received about the same teacher, who no longer works at Marlborough.

The allegations came to light after a former student published an account on a women's lifestyles website saying the teacher once touched her knee and told her the school uniform's short skirt and polo shirt were "too alluring."

Marlborough's board of trustees has formed an investigative committee to look into the allegations.
