LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 51-year-old man accused of drowning a woman in a Las Vegas swimming pool before trying to take his own life has been arrested on a murder charge.
Neal Huff was booked into the Clark County jail after he was treated for his injuries at Spring Valley Hospital.
Police say they arrived at a Sleepy Spruce Street home Saturday morning to find a dead woman by the pool and Huff with apparent signs of trauma around his neck.
Investigators say Huff and the victim were in their home when an argument turned into a physical altercation. They continued the altercation outside and fell into the backyard pool.
Huff is accused of drowning the victim while struggling with her in the pool and then trying to commit suicide.
The victim's name and relationship to Huff were not immediately released.
