UPDATE: August 1, 2013: Saul Zelaznog was arrested on a probation violation today, August 1, 2013. He is currently booked at the Washoe County Jail. No court date has been set at this time.

Reno, NV (KRNV & -- Reno Police as well as local business owners are looking for a man who has allegedly skipped out on multiple bar and restaurant tabs in downtown Reno.

Lieutenant Amy Newman with the Reno Police Department says, employees at The Brewer's Cabinet filed a police report on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 after Saul Zelaznog skipped out on his tab.
After filing the police report, a co-owner of Brewer's Cabinet posted a picture, that an employee managed to take of Zelaznog, on Facebook with a message warning other local businesses about his habit of dining and dashing.

Other restaurants and bars including, Imperial, Campo and Chapel Tavern confirmed they had the same problem with Zelaznog.

Nick Meyer, a manager at Campo says, "Ya know, it's really unfortunate that we put faith in people and they don't always pull through and it makes it harder for us to trust everyone else."

Sean Stitt, a bartender at Chapel Tavern says unfortunately this isn't uncommon, "It's something you have to deal with, there are certain ways we take precautions for it, however sometimes people are clever and they get away with it."

Bartenders say once the bill comes Zelaznog claims he doesn't have his wallet and then eventually skips out on his bill.

Meyer says, "People who are trying to stick it to the man or whatever their trying to do, their hurting everyone by leaving without paying."

Chris Kahl, a co-owner of Brewer's Cabinet says he just wanted to help out other local businesses before more tabs go unpaid.

If you have any information about Zelaznog you can call Reno Police at 775-334-2121

To FDCPA---The FDCPA laws Don't apply to private small businesses! Why you would even think that I have no idea you sound like an idiot!!! They apply to licensed collection agencies and licensed debt collectors!!! And it is $1k per law broken per day! Do you just go and read any post from any better that doesn't want to pay their bills and believe what they say is true and believe it is law? Lol?! Too bad there are debtors like you in the world even professional debtors in the world because it's you guys that raise interest rates and prices on everything for everybody else!! Gosh when I saw you saying a small bar had to adhere to the "fair debt collection practices act" I was dumbfounded! Lol So actually you're saying they can't even ask for somebody to pay their bill while they are at the bar they have to send them a letter first right? Because I'm assuming you're not one of those idiots that think some of the laws have to be followed and some not correct? And I don't believe they called all the other locations and disclose the man's name and debt to that they posted on their site and then Those either people noticed it correct? You're just all kinds of stupid! Lol I can't even say anymore! I was a bank card manager at a collection agency for a long time! Also was a FDCPA compliance officer! And also my mother owns a bill bonds company whom she gets screwed out of money often and I do the collections for her and there's no FDCPA honey!! It's not 3rd party collections!! I can still when I want I can say what I want I can call who I want I can call as many times as I want! But yes a small bar in a small town they have to adhere to the fair debt collection practices act! Lol

And for those who overestimate the response of police to petty crime and underestimate the power of public humiliation in a small town, give a long sad bow to Saul Zelaznog... Which is another way of saying I should only steal when I can guarantee there is no chance of getting caught...

Shame on Brewer's Cabinet! Zelaznog has rights too. If I were Zelaznog, I would sue under FDCPA violations and get that bar back for disclosing debts to third parties. Or better yet, get the FTC / CFPB involved ... $5k-$1M per day per violation baby!

I left out the word PAY, as in it's the servers who PAY that tab. Just to clarify.

I noticed that as well, "Zelaznog" is obviously "Gonzalez" spelled backwards, I noticed it the first night this was on ALL the news channels. And for all of you who think it's cool to "stick it to the man", it's the SERVERS that the tab for the person who "dines & dashes", so "the man" isn't paying the price, it's people like my husband.....not to mention, the bar/restaurant can FIRE a server for this, my husband has had this happen to him @Chili's. They make your life MISERABLE if a LOSER does this to you. It's money out of THE SERVER'S POCKET, not the bar/restaurant, at least not in the case of places like Chili's.
