NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police say a 32-year-old man is dead and his cousin is jailed after a weekend shooting in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police say the shooting happened a little before 2 a.m. Sunday at a home on Terneza Avenue. That's near Pecos Road and East Tropical Parkway.

The name of the dead man wasn't immediately made public.

His cousin and roommate, Neftali Felipe Rodriguez, was found about 90 minutes later walking near Craig Road and Interstate 15.

Police also recovered a handgun believed to be the murder weapon.

Rodriguez is being held at the Las Vegas City Jail pending a court appearance on murder and weapon charges.
