AUBURN, Calif. (AP) — A 22-year-old Sacramento man has pleaded no contest after being charged with raping and impregnating a severely disabled woman.

Placer County prosecutors said Marquis Montgomery entered the plea Wednesday as part of a deal in which he will be sentenced to 13 years in state prison, the maximum for rape of an "incompetent victim."

Authorities arrested Montgomery last week after tests comparing DNA from the 34-year-old woman's baby and from a relative of Montgomery's found enough of a match to detain him.

Montgomery used to work at a care home where the woman lives. She is blind and mentally and physically disabled, and was discovered a year ago to be about six months pregnant.

The district attorney says Montgomery is being held without bail.
