Man found dead at Corona del Mar; drowning likely

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 70-year-old man at an Orange County beach as a possible drowning.

The Los Angeles Times reports the man's body was found Tuesday in the surf at Corona del Mar State Beach.

Newport Beach police Lt. Damon Psaros says foul play is not suspected.

Detectives are working to confirm the man's identity.
