SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco police say a man who advertised a video game console for sale online was robbed of the device and shot and killed by the would-be buyer.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the street in the city's Bayview district. The victim, who has not been identified, was later pronounced dead at San Francisco General Hospital.

Investigators have released few details about the case, including the type of game console that was advertised.

Police spokesman Albie Esparza told the San Francisco Chronicle investigators were looking for video surveillance footage that could lead to the suspect.
