Reno, NV (MyNews4.com) -- News Four has confirmed that Nevada Wide Receiver Brandon Wimberly has been granted an extra season because of a medical hardship. Wimberly missed the entire 2011 season after he was shot in the abdomen outside of a nightclub downtown in May of 2011.
Brandon was Nevada's top receiver last season, catching 70 passes for 745 yards and four touchdowns.
With his return, it means that Nevada's three starting wide receivers will all come back next season.
