SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — A couple who lived next door to the seventh-grader who killed his teacher and shot two classmates outside their Nevada middle school before committing suicide says he was a well-behaved boy from a "wonderful" family.

Bill Williams told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he and his wife never dreamed 12-year-old Jose Reyes or his family would be involved in such a tragedy.

He says they couldn't have asked for better neighbors at their well-kept apartment complex a few blocks from Sparks Middle School, where the shooting broke out before classes started Oct. 21.

Williams says Reyes used to ride his bicycle around the apartments before his family moved out in the weeks before the shooting. He described the boy's family as polite people who would "do anything in the world for you."

Keep in mind the investigations can go for several months. anything said here or on facebook will be noticed by the police investigating the situation. Justdoit and retired51, The truth will come out in the wash (as the old old saying goes). Bullying is now a thing of the present and we all know children can be more cruel than most adults. Then factor in the problems the child has at home, interactions with others his/her own age, and the irresponsibility shown by Washoe County School District who played the fill of retaliation for the children before entering high school. The children who are bullied are all victims just as much as those the child has retaliated against that is why the urgency to report any kind of bullying to the authorities. Not to mention children do will not tell his/her parents because this will only cause even more harm when the child who is being bullied is seen as weak. The kids are confused enough.....REMEMBER....Talk to your kids all the time about everything....not just how was your day? do you have any homework? There is also the issue of trusting the parents enough to be able to talk openly and honestly without being scolded for not fighting back.

retired, who the hell is renojim? Regarding the "witnesses that saw it" I say let the police finish their investigation as to what caused this tragedy, who knows what the "witnesses" motivations are. All it takes is for one person in a stressful situation to make an accusation and it spreads like wildfire whether its true or not. As for him being bullied, no one has the right to bully anyone so I do believe it is a big deal! As for him being 12 years old, unless you have been living in a cave and are not aware, 12 year olds have progressed way past this age and are capable of doing horrendous things, hello.

As long as people continue to ignore the serious impact bullying has on kids, these tragedies will continue to happen!!

justdoit, your as bad as renojim! It isn't hearsay when you have several witnesses that personally saw it! Look up the definition of hearsay!at no time did I ever say it gave him the right. What I am saying is, it may have pushed him over the top! I think what your forgetting is this was a 12 yr. old boy! He also didn't deserve to be bullied everyday at school but you seem to think that it was no big deal if he was!

Retired, maybe this kid was bullied and maybe he wasn't, hearsay. Bottom line is if he was being bullied it does not give him the right to murder an innocent person.

Maybe if this kid hadn't been bullied he wouldn't of resorted to what he did!! He is also a victim in this because if not for the bullying it would probably never happened! And YES he was bullied! There were several kids being interviewed on t.v. that substantiated this!!
