Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Reno Police are investigating a pedestrian versus vehicle accident on I-80 Eastbound, after an off-duty NHP employee struck and killed a pedestrian.
Reno police say an off duty NHP employee was traveling eastbound on I-80 near the Rock Blvd. exit when the pedestrian ran southbound on I-80. The pedestrian was hit and killed.
The victim's name is not being released until family can be notified.
Reno police are handling the investigation since the driver of the vehicle was an off-duty NHP employee.
Investigators say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the accident.
