A hitchhiker (not sure this is legal there but you've seen gas prices), carrying a snow board (yea there's a sign of danger and suspicious in RENO), gets stopped and ends up shot three times (chest, stomach and groin), and he had an UNLOADED weapon on him (not sure but I thought was legal in NV...) ... why not the leg or somewhere not life threatening?? I have had first hand knowledge on so many stories involving the authorities where the facts are not reported accurately and in police reports where there are down right LIES!! .... even after investigations facts are skewed and more often than not in the favor of the authorities... I'm tired of this as a reporting issue and more importantly of over zealous or rogue cops who shoot first and ask questions later !! ... let's see how this plays out....

This young man certainly did NOT deserve to be shot!!!! The deputy involved should face FELONY CRIMINAL CHARGES for shooting a person with AN UNLOADED REVOLVER!!!! WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE???? WHERE ARE THE PROTESTERS???? WHEN WILL THE PIGS UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE NOT GOD???? PLEASE!!! KEEP US INFORMED OF THE OUTCOME OF THIS DASTARDLY DEED!!!! SIMPLE HITCH HIKING WITH A SNOW BOARD IS NOT A REASON TO BE STOPPED AND TO HAVE YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS DENIED FROM THE BARREL OF A PIG`S WEAPON!!! The hitchiker invived was living in verdi and hitchiking to truckee to visit with his daughter. Although the reports say that he was running from the officer how did he get shot in the chest? I am so sad about this the person is a good kid just makes stupid decissions. the officer saw a gun it does not say the kid had pulled a gun nevada law states its legal to carry. I know this person was running because of a old warrent and turned around to give himself up, (I can only hope thats is the kind of person he is)when he got shot. My thoughts go out to the officer involved when he leaves his house for work he never knows what kind of day he will have or if he will make it back home at the end of it. I hope my friend pulls through and the officer is justified for he actions.

maddyo .... I've been on them for this same thing for YEARS!!! I have asked to employ me as their proofreader/editor SEVERAL times w/ ZERO response!! Otherwise News4 has a crystal ball .... LOL They have NOT said what the "altercation" was about ... if a traffic stop or something else .... you'd think that would also be a critical part of the NEWS story!!
