LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking after they found near $11 million of cocaine in his semitrailer.

Police say a joint anti-drug task force stopped driver Rahul Grewal on a traffic violation about 4 a.m. Friday on northbound Interstate 15 at Craig Road.

Investigators say they recovered about 284 pounds of cocaine inside the 18-wheeler.

Grewal was booked into the Clark County jail on suspicion of trafficking cocaine and transporting cocaine for sale.

The task force that arrested him is made up of officers from Las Vegas, Henderson and Mesquite police departments, as well as the Nevada Highway Patrol and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
