OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A man accused of killing seven people at a small Northern California Christian college is being transferred from a jail to a locked psychiatric hospital for treatment.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that a judge on Monday ordered One Goh be transferred to Napa State Hospital. The newspaper says doctors at the facility will attempt to restore his mental competence so he can stand trial.

The 44-year-old Goh is charged with seven counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder in the April 2 attack at Oikos University in Oakland.

Goh, who has pleaded not guilty to the slayings, was found incompetent to stand trial earlier this month after two psychiatric evaluations reached the conclusion that he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.

Psychiatrists who treat Goh at the facility will deliver a progress report to the judge in the case in 90 days.
