Pelicans' Smith out indefinitely

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans will be without center Jason Smith for an indefinite period of time due to a right knee injury.

The team announced Saturday that an MRI revealed Smith suffered cartilage damage in his knee.

In 31 games (27 starts) this season, Smith is averaging 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds.
