Phillies ship Cedeno to D-backs

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies traded infielder Ronny Cedeno to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for minor- league catcher Raywilly Gomez.

Cedeno has gone 0-for-9 in seven games for Philadelphia this season.

The 31-year-old is a career .245 hitter with 40 homers and 239 RBI across 10 seasons with the Cubs, Mariners, Pirates, Mets, Astros, Padres and Phillies.

Gomez, who has yet to make his major league debut, has hit .273 with three home runs and 22 RBI for Double-A Mobile this season.
