LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 42-year-old woman is dead and two other people are severely injured after police say a 17-year-old boy ran a red light in Las Vegas.

Authorities say the crash happened about 11 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Durango Drive and Tropical Parkway.

Witnesses say the 17-year-old was in a pickup truck when he ran the red light, hit a Ford Mustang on the driver's side and sent it crashing into another car and off the road.

The woman driving the Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene, while an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl riding in the convertible were seriously injured.

The teen driving the truck and the driver of the third car involved were not hurt.
