MONTE SERENO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a prostitute has been charged as an accessory in the murder of a Silicon Valley venture capitalist who died last month following a violent home-invasion in an upscale Santa Clara County suburb.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports 22-year-old Raven Chanel Dixon of Alameda was arrested Tuesday in Mountain View on suspicion of drug possession and engaging in prostitution. Authorities say she was charged Friday with being an accessory to the murder of 66-year-old Raveesh Kumar Kumra.
Kumra was found dead Nov. 30 in his family's sprawling mansion in Monte Sereno. He was a wealthy venture capitalist who invested in technology firms and once owned the historic Mountain Winery.
His wife Harinda Kumra was taken to a hospital after she called 911 that morning to report that intruders ransacked their home and beaten her.
