LOS ANGELES (AP) — Students at Cal State Fullerton have been told to stay inside with doors locked while police search the campus for suspects in an armed robbery at a Riverside County jewelry store.

School spokesman Chris Bugbee says the search is focusing on three buildings on the southeast edge of the campus.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Bob Dunn told KCAL-TV at least five suspects fled the scene of the robbery Wednesday in Moreno Valley and were stopped in Fullerton. One person was detained and four others ran off.

One suspect carjacked a silver sedan and led police on a high speed chase on freeways and through surface streets. He was arrested after crashing the car and running onto a baseball diamond in Watts.

Love the way this was reported on-air today. it showed a "Titans" logo (CSU-Fullerton's team, excellent @ baseball)and said it was a robbery "nearby". Um, incorrect, and seems irrelevant. (but UNR was hosed long time back on CWS selection).
