LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 53-year-old man is in critical condition after being sideswiped and knocked off his bike in a Las Vegas hit-and-run.

Authorities say the four-door sedan that hit the man about 3 p.m. Wednesday left the scene.

Police say the bicyclist was in the bike lane on Alta Drive, near the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard. Officials say the vehicle was traveling in the same direction when it hit the bike and failed to stop.

Police are looking for the gray or silver car that's responsible.
