Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Redskins added a piece to their defensive secondary on Saturday, signing cornerback Tracy Porter to an undisclosed contract.
Porter spent the 2013 season with the Oakland Raiders and played for Denver in 2012 after four seasons to start his career with New Orleans.
The 27-year-old Indiana product notched two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in 16 games last season for the Raiders after appearing in just six games with Denver because of health issues.
Porter has 10 interceptions, three of which he has returned for scores, with 282 tackles in 65 games over six NFL seasons. He also recorded a 74-yard interception return for a touchdown during New Orleans' victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl after the 2009 season.
