Clinton, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Presbyterian football finished 3-8 this past season, but the Blue Hose aren't shying away from a difficult schedule in 2014.
Presbyterian will visit three FBS programs as part of its 11-game schedule. The Blue Hose will open the season at Northern Illinois on Aug. 28 and visit North Carolina State on Sept. 20 and Mississippi on Nov. 8.
"I think PC has one of the toughest but most exciting schedules this season," coach Harold Nichols said.
The Blue Hose will host six games, starting with Bluefield (Sept. 6), Furman (Sept. 13) and Western Carolina (Oct. 4) in non-conference games. Within their Big South Conference, they will host Coastal Carolina (Oct. 11), Monmouth (Oct. 25, Homecoming) and Liberty (Nov. 1).
The schedule also includes Big South road games at Charleston Southern (Oct. 18) and Gardner-Webb (Nov. 15).
