Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Redskins have promoted Sean McVay to offensive coordinator.

McVay spent the past three seasons as Washington's tight ends coach after being hired by the Redskins as an offensive assistant in 2010.

The 27-year-old McVay has worked with new Redskins head coach Jay Gruden in Tampa Bay and with the UFL's Florida Tuskers.

McVay played wide receiver at Miami University from 2004-07.
