Lucerne, Switzerland (SportsNetwork.com) - Pierre Relecom closed with a 3- under 68 on Sunday and won the Swiss Challenge by one stroke.
Relecom finished his first European Challenge Tour win at 15-under-par 269. He ended his round with back-to-back bogeys, but was victorious when Niccolo Quintarelli missed a birdie try on the 18th at Golf Sempachersee.
Relecom opened his round with his third birdie in three days at the first. After seven pars in row, he birdied the ninth to make the turn at minus-14.
The 29-year-old Belgian traded a bogey for a birdie from the 11th. Relecom holed out for eagle on the short par-4 14th and followed with a birdie on the 15th. Relecom bogeyed the last two to end at minus-15.
Quintarelli had four birdies and two bogeys between the second and seventh. After eight pars in a row, the Italian birdied 16 to reach 14-under. He closed with a pair of pars to end there.
Rhys Davies (68), George Murray (70) and amateur Mathias Eggenberger (68) shared third place at 12-under 272. Scott Fallon closed with a 68 of his own to take sixth at minus-11.
