(SportsNetwork.com) - The reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have reportedly agreed to a contract extension with head coach Pete Carroll.

According to multiple media outlets, the Seahawks are expected to announce the deal Friday at a press conference.

In his fourth season at the helm last year, Carroll guided the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history, a 43-8 demolition of the Denver Broncos back in February.

Carroll, who has one season left on his five-year, $35 million deal, has gone 38-26 during his tenure with Seattle and owns a 71-57 record as an NFL head coach over eight seasons with the New York Jets (1994), New England Patriots (1997-99) and Seahawks.
