Bogota, Colombia (SportsNetwork.com) - Jose De Jesus Rodriguez downed Manuel Villegas on the second playoff hole Sunday to claim the title of the Arturo Calle Colombian Classic.
Rodriguez birdied the 18th hole to post his second straight 6-under 65 and meet Villegas atop the leaderboard at 14-under-par 270. Villegas carded a 1- under 70 in his final round.
The duo returned to the 18th hole for the first playoff, and after trading pars there, they headed to the par-3 ninth hole at San Andres Golf Club.
Villegas, who had three pars and a birdie at the ninth during the tournament, tripped to a bogey at the second extra hole, allowing Rodriguez to claim his second playoff win of the season on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica with a par.
Third-round leader Corbin Mills stumbled to a 4-over 75 during his final round to fall into a share of third place with Jose Manuel Garrido (65) and Timothy O'Neal (67) at 12-under 272.
Omar Beltran (69) and Emilio Dominguez (70) tied for sixth at 11-under.
