PLEASANTON, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a San Francisco Bay Area man was beaten into a coma after trying to quiet a group of people making noise near his home.
Officers found the 51-year-old man lying unconscious outside his Pleasanton home with his wife nearby when they arrived at the scene early Saturday morning.
Pleasanton police Lt. Scott Rohovit says the man was attacked by one or more of the people he went out to confront about the noise. Police have not identified any suspects.
