LOS ANGELES (AP) — Five people have been injured, one seriously, when a car crashed into a Los Angeles pizza shop.

Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department says a compact SUV drove into the fast-food restaurant, leaving one person with serious injuries and four with minor injuries.

Television news footage showed a white SUV inside a Little Caesars restaurant near the intersections of Glenoaks and Van Nuys boulevards.

Humphrey says the damage to the restaurant structure is minimal.
