Saint Mary's Welcomes First Baby Born in 2013

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the arrival of the first baby born in 2013.

Lyla Emerson Dwyer, was born right at the stroke of midnight. The healthy little bundle of joy weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and measures 20 inches. Parents, David and Amanda Dwyer, are very excited for their second child.

“We are always excited to welcome in the first baby of the New Year,” said Marie Luback-Neves, RN, director of Saint Mary’s Family Birthing Center. “This is one of those special moments at the hospital and Saint Mary’s is proud to have delivered another healthy baby.”

Well, since the birth was scheduled in November for midnight on New Year's, she could just try the same timing again. :D Congratulations to the new mother!
