SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Businesses/residents within the industrial area of Sparks may drop off sandbags on the curb of the nearest Sparks street.
The City of Sparks asks that you do not place the sand bags in the travel lane, sidewalks or on pallets. The bags will be lifted by personnel into loaders for disposal. City personnel will be loading the sandbags beginning today, Dec. 3, through Friday, Dec. 14.
Do not return sand bags to any of the Sparks sand bag locations; all City of Sparks sand bag locations have been removed.
If sandbags are kept for future use, City of Sparks says they should be protected from the elements by covering them or storing them inside. A sandbag stored out of the elements may last for a season before the bag deteriorates
