GALT, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a police officer in the Sacramento County city of Galt has been shot.
Sheriff's officials tell KCRA-TV the shooting occurred around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, and the man suspected of shooting the officer was also shot. Additional details, including the condition of the officer and suspect, were not immediately known.
Sheriff's deputies were reportedly heading to the scene.
