LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Southern California man faces charges of capital murder for fatally stabbing two homeless men whose bodies were discovered near a Glendora car wash.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office says 28-year-old Drew Alan Friis of Glendora was set to be arraigned Monday on two counts of murder with special circumstance of multiple murders.
Friis allegedly attacked John Anthony Welch and Warran Jay Blagrave at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, allegedly stabbing each man more than 20 times. A resident heard the screams and flagged down a Glendora police lieutenant, who discovered the bodies at the car wash that morning
Friis is being held without bail.
