RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Washoe County Sheriff's Office tells News 4 their investigation into former Reno Police Sergeant Jim Stegmaier has been completed and turned over the Washoe County District Attorney's Office.
The District Attorney's Office will determine if charges should be filed against Stegmaier. Stegmaier was recommended to be fired by a police board after an Internal Affairs investigation found Stegmaier pointed a loaded gun at his subordinates a number of times in late 2011. Stegmaier retired before he could be fired.
Stegmaier has now leveled a number of charges of corruption against members of the Reno Police Department.
