RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Washoe County Sheriff's Office tells News 4 their investigation into former Reno Police Sergeant Jim Stegmaier has been completed and turned over the Washoe County District Attorney's Office.

The District Attorney's Office will determine if charges should be filed against Stegmaier. Stegmaier was recommended to be fired by a police board after an Internal Affairs investigation found Stegmaier pointed a loaded gun at his subordinates a number of times in late 2011. Stegmaier retired before he could be fired.

Stegmaier has now leveled a number of charges of corruption against members of the Reno Police Department.

I recall ADA Egan Walker as the one who did this. Now, he's a judge?

Just a reminder for those who remember the Asst. Deputy District attorney who was drunk shooting his gun off in a public area. I recall he was given a leave of absent without pay. Then he got to go back to his job at the District Attorney's office.
