LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old robbery suspect has died of injuries he received when a police chase ended in a crash.

Las Vegas resident Rajan Sroya died at University Medical Center June 27, about seven weeks after the Toyota Corolla he was riding in hit a block wall. Police say a portion of wrought iron fence from the wall penetrated the car and impaled him.

Sroya was one of three people accused in an early morning robbery and assault May 11 at the South Point casino. Police say the Corolla had been stolen earlier from another man.

Officers who spotted the stolen car say they tried to stop it, but the vehicle fled and later crashed east of downtown Las Vegas.

Twenty-four-year-old Antonio Chavez and 29-year-old Demone Lewis were also arrested.
