New information is coming in following a big verdict in the Harvey Whittemore trial.
News 4 has learned the jury was originally deadlocked 8-4 on the final count accusing whittemore of lying to the FBI.   After the judge ordered jurors to continue deliberating,  there were still three jurors who held out because they wanted an acquittal on count four and that's when a mistrial was declared on that final charge.
Whittemore was convicted on three counts of making illegal campaign contributions.
He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each count.   Sentencing is scheduled for September.
