KEENE, N.H. (AP) — The trial of a man accused of setting a fire that killed a Keene, N.H., family nearly 25 years ago is coming to an end.

David McLeod was arrested in 2010 and charged with four counts of second-degree murder in the 1989 deaths of Carl and Lori Hina, their 4-month-old daughter, Lillian, and Carl Hina's 12-year-old daughter, Sara.

Closing arguments in McLeod's trial are expected Tuesday.

The trial began two weeks ago with prosecutors arguing that McLeod threatened to burn down the apartment house before the fire, bragged and laughed about it as the fire raged and admitted setting it afterward. Defense lawyers argued that witness accounts then and now conflict sharply.
