Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins and third baseman Trevor Plouffe have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, avoiding arbitration.

Terms were not disclosed, but the Pioneer Press and MLB.com both reported the deal to be worth $2.35 million.

Plouffe clubbed 14 homers, drove in 52 runs and batted .254 in 129 games last season. He hit 24 homers and knocked in 55 runs while batting .235 in 2012.

The 27-year-old California native has 48 homers and 144 RBI in 351 games since making his debut with the Twins in 2010.
