RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- For the first time in program history, the Western Nevada College baseball team will open its season at home.
The rainy forecast in Las Vegas has prompted WNC and South Mountain Community College to move their Friday and Saturday doubleheaders to John L. Harvey Field in Carson City. WNC says doubleheaders are scheduled for 11 a.m. both days.
In its previous seven seasons, the earliest that the Wildcats have opened at home is Feb. 18, while the latest date has been March 27.
