New York, NY (Sports Network) - Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers were named the NBA's Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for February.
Lillard led all rookies with 19.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 22 3-pointers made to go with 2.9 rebounds in February. He's earned Rookie of the Month honors in all four months this season.
Waiters averaged 15.8 points on 51.4 percent shooting in 12 games last month. He also averaged 3.1 assists and shot at least 60 percent in six contest, all while helping the Cavs to a 7-5 record in the month.
