LAS VEGAS (AP) — For the second time in three days, the Las Vegas police community will mourn an officer shot dead by a couple who went on to kill another person before they died in a shootout with police in a Wal-Mart store.

A memorial is scheduled Saturday morning for 41-year-old Alyn Beck.

Beck was a senior patrol officer who was ambushed and killed with Officer Igor Soldo last Sunday in a pizza shop where they were having lunch.

Soldo's funeral was Thursday.

Services for Joseph Wilcox are scheduled June 22. He was fatally wounded trying to use his own gun to stop the rampage in the Wal-Mart store.

The 41-year-old Beck was a married father of three who moved from Wyoming to Las Vegas before joining the police department in 2001.
