SAN ANDREAS, Calif. (AP) — A small wildfire in Central California has forced the evacuation of some homes.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says Sunday that the fire in Calaveras County has burned about 100 acres and destroyed one outbuilding.

About 330 firefighters have been able to contain 50 percent of the blaze.

An unknown number of homes on one road south of San Andreas were evacuated.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
