Wolf Pack athletes react to Sparks Middle School shooting

Reno, NV (MyNews4.com) -- After hearing the tragic news that hit close to home right here in Northern Nevada, involving the Sparks Middle School shooting, several Wolf Pack athletes took to social media to speak out.  Here are just a few examples.

Nevada junior quarterback Cody Fajardo took to Twitter and said, "Prayers go out to everyone that was impacted by the Sparks Middle School shooting. Not a good start to Nevada week. #staytogether #Godbless"

Senior point guard Deonte Burton tweeted, "I just found out the shooter was a student wow unbelievable I'm lost for words!"

While the Nevada Cheerleading Squad tweeted, "Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of everyone at Sparks Middle School. #weareonecommunity and #onepack."
