LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say they're looking for the driver of a white car that fatally struck a 49-year-old woman in a Las Vegas crosswalk and never stopped.

Authorities say the crash happened a little before 9 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Cedar Avenue.

Officers say the woman was in a marked crosswalk when a white four-door sedan knocked her to the ground and then continued north on Nellis Boulevard without stopping.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Her name has not yet been released.

Her death marks the 109th traffic-related fatality so far this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
