SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A 25-year-old woman has been charged with murder in the death of a woman who was beaten unconscious outside an Orange County nightclub.

City News Service says Vanesa Zavala was charged Wednesday with murder and could face 15 years to life in prison if convicted. She remains jailed.

Prosecutors say she was one of five people who kicked and beat 23-year-old Annie Pham of Westminster during an argument Saturday outside The Crosby nightclub in Santa Ana.

Pham, a Chapman University graduate, was left unconscious on the sidewalk. She was placed on life support until her organs could be harvested and was declared dead Tuesday.

Police are seeking two other women and two men in connection with the death.
